In three separate episodes earlier this month, three adults and two juveniles caused property damage as they sped dangerously through Camp Bonim in Wayne County in a pickup truck, shouting anti-Semitic epithets and firing paintball guns at campers and staff, District Attorney Janine Edwards said in a press release. The three adults were arrested Wednesday morning and face felony and misdemeanor charges, including ethnic intimidation, terroristic threats and assault.

“These children were terrorized and in fear for their lives by the actions of this group,” Edwards said in the release. “The vicious, cruel and obscene nature of the language hurled at the campers is unspeakable. Luckily none of the children suffered any serious physical injury, however, the emotional damage is immeasurable.” Continue reading

Up to 100 New York City “critical response vehicles” have been deployed to New York City Jewish neighborhoods and around synagogues in response to the deadly terrorist bombing in Bulgaria against tourists.

There are no specific threats against New York Jewish venues, according to New York 1.

Wednesday’s explosion outside Sarafovo Airport in Burgas killed five Israeli tourists, a Bulgarian bus driver and the suspected suicide bomber. More than 30 Israelis were injured. The Israelis had just arrived on a charter flight from Israel.

“It is a tragedy and I met with the Israeli ambassador this morning to get a briefing. The [police department] is all over it, both in Europe and in Israel and here, but you won’t see anything different,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Thursday according to New York 1.

Police in the city made similar moves in March following the murder of three children and a rabbi by a gunman in Toulouse, France.

New York police believe Iranian Revolutionary Guards or their proxies have been involved so far this year in nine plots against Israeli or Jewish targets around the world, according to restricted police documents obtained by Reuters.

Reports prepared this week by intelligence analysts for the New York Police Department (NYPD) say three plots were foiled in January, three in February and another three since late June. Iran has repeatedly denied supporting militant attacks abroad.

The documents, labeled “Law Enforcement Sensitive,” said that this week’s suicide bomb attack in Bulgaria was the second plot to be unmasked there this year.

The reports detail two plots in Bangkok and one each in New Delhi, Tbilisi, Baku, Mombasa and Cyprus. Each plot was attributed to Iran or its Lebanese Hezbollah militant allies, said the reports, which were produced following the bombing in Burgas, Bulgaria of a bus carrying Israeli tourists.
